Presenter Kent Eaton on designing dwellings that are more affordable and accessible to all persons.PechaKucha Night Burlington officially began on November 10th, 2010, when a bunch of local creatives gathered in Fleming Museum's marble court to present their passions in 20 slides, each lasting exactly 20 seconds. In 2012, RETN joined forces with Fleming to bring video coverage to the events. 2 years later, Shelburne Museum, Burlington City Arts, and the ECHO Center joined the party, each hosting a PechaKucha Night once per year.PechaKucha Night was always a surprise. Who expected David Blistein's hilarious "layperson's guide to self-medication?" Or Ben Maddox's bizarre adventures in the depths of Vermont lakes?Who could forget the magic of Marilyn Maddison's abstract ice photography? Or Karen Guth's austere portrait of Detroit's urban decay? All good things come to an end. After 8 years and 27 events, PechaKucha Night Burlington is coming to a close.
